Why might an all-or-nothing approach not work for you?
Dear Reader,
This is my second attempt at writing my first blog post for my brand-new website. There's a temptation to celebrate completing this task already...
The truth is, I can’t wait to finish writing because I promised myself I’d publish my website only once I had two*** blog posts ready.
Now, you see, having a website where I can express myself and connect with people is my dream. I am desperate to publish it.
If you have a dream, you should just go for it, shouldn’t you? If you want your dream to come true, you just need to do what’s necessary to achieve it, right? Just write those two posts!
Easier said than done.
Knowing what you need to do and actually doing it are two different things. I believe you might be nodding in agreement here.
Did I write two posts before publishing my website?
No, because I realized I don’t need two posts! I just want to publish my website and make my dream come true.
I changed my mind. I changed the rules because they were my own, self-imposed rules. So, I’ll publish with only one*** blog post.
Now, to the point:
I already know that my progress lies somewhere between "all" or "nothing."
In this case between writing two or zero blog posts :)
Building my website is about putting knowledge into practice, letting go of perfection, and just getting things done. Getting things done is far more important than having them be perfect. (By the way, as a reminder: there’s no external institution where you can objectively check if your work is perfect—no such thing exists! ;)) For some reason, I had decided it would be ideal to have two posts on launch day... That decision blocked me and led to massive procrastination and delay. Fortunately, I realized what was happening and adjusted my approach.
Now, I’m excited to press the “publish” button and keep writing more posts!

Until the next one!
Lots of love,
